Membership

National Society Membership

Membership is free to carers, but donations to help run the Society are welcome.

Membership of the National Society entitles you to regular copies of the societies magazines, keeping you up to date with all the latest news on treatment available to those with dementia, and on events etc., organised by the National Society.

Subscriptions and donations to the National Society are used to run the society and to aid research. (See Gift Aid below)

Local Branch Membership

Once again, membership is free, but the branch relies on grants, gifts, fund raising etc., to help with our running costs.

Whilst the National Society addresses the bigger picture, your local branch provides the immediate and personal touch. We provide the venues for carers meetings, we provide the staff and volunteers to visit you, to comfort you, to help you get the right treatment and benefits.

Subscriptions and donations to your local branch are used for local benefit.

Gift Aid

In either case, you should obtain, fill in and return a Gift Aid Form. (available from the branch office). This enables us to claim back taxation and makes your money go further.

Also, in both cases, regular donations help to set budgets, so a Standing Order, or better still, a Direct Debit is the preferred way.

Remember - Standing Orders and Direct Debits are easily cancelled so you are not taking an irrevocable step.
